Within the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, CNP ASFALISTIKI actively supports the efforts of the MINISTRY OF DEFENCE aiming at developing proactiveness and creating the appropriate culture on Road Safety. In a press conference held on July 28, 2017, at the Officers' Club in Nicosia, the Minister of Defence, Mr. Christophoros Fokaidis emphasized the continuity of this cooperation. Within the framework of «Positive Incentives», announced by the Ministry of Defence, CNP ASFALISTIKI awarded with tablets the 10 soldiers, who mostly utilized the public buses for their transportation to and from their units. The CEO of the CNP CYPRUS Group, Mr. Takis Phidia, stressed that "Road safety is a major social challenge and as such requires a common and methodical effort. Close cooperation between the private and the public sectors is therefore imperative. When we unite forces, knowledge and experience, we become more competent and more effective with practical solutions. We are solidly next to the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard supporting their efforts to prevent road accidents". In his address, the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI, Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou, expressed his gratitude to the MINISTRY OF DEFENCE for the confidence shown to CNP ASFALISTIKI in creating awareness and the appropriate culture on Road Safety for soldiers. He also noted that "financially strong organizations owe to take actions like that in order to stand next to our society".
