CNP ASFALISTIKI and the Ministry of Defence support road safety at The National Guard

For one more year, CNP ASFALISTIKI and the MINISTRY OF DEFENSE sent strong life safety messages through road safety actions taken at the National Guard. With the aim of promoting a culture of road safety awareness to soldiers, they are joining forces in order to raise awareness on road safety issues. Thus, for the 4th consecutive year, they confirm that major social challenges may be addressed by the collective efforts and cooperation between the private and the public sector.

At an event that took place on the 21st of June 2019 at the Central Offices of CNP CYPRUS, the importance of prevention as well as providing protection and safeguarding soldiers on the road was highlighted. In the context of the "Positive Incentives Policy", the Ministry of Defense, sponsored by CNP ASFALISTIKI, rewarded ten soldiers who made extensive use of the Free Use of Buses Scheme to and from their Units, with tablets.

The positive response of soldiers to using buses for free to and from their Units is a practical demonstration of the actions organized by the National Guard regarding road safety.

The Minister of Defense, Mr. Savvas Angelides, the Deputy Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Costas Chrysiliou, the CEO of the CNP CYPRUS INSURACE HOLDINGS Group, Mr. Takis Phidia and the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI, Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou, gave a welcome speech at the event.
