With the message «Road Safety is Culture!», CNP ASFALISTIKI and the POLICE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT organised for 18th consecutive year, the Road Safety Week from 16 until 22 October, under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Ionas Nicolaou.
The Road Safety campaign kicked off with a press conference, on October 17th, at the University of Cyprus, by the Honourable Minister of Justice and Public Order. The speakers at the conference were the Chief of Police, Mr Zacharias Chrysostomou. The CEO of CNP CYPRUS, Mr Takis Phidias, and the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI, Mr Andreas C. Stylianou, spoke on behalf of CNP ASFALISTIKI. Greetings were also given on behalf of Paphos Mayor, from the Municipal Councillor, Mr Charalambos Pazaros, the Rector of the University of Cyprus, Mr. Constantinos Christofides and the President of the Student Union of the University Mr. Charalambos Christodoulou.
The main event of the Road Safety Week will be the children Road Safety Event, held for the first time in Paphos, the European Capital of Culture in 2017, on October 21, at Castle area in Limanaki.
CNP ASFALISTIKI, in the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility, supports a series of activities with the intension of creating a culture of road safety, particularly among young people.
