Basic Coverage
The Basic Coverage of the Insurance Policy includes:
- Legal liability to indemnify third parties
- Loss of or damage to the motor vehicle caused by any peril that is not specifically excluded in the areas effectively controlled by the Republic of Cyprus
- The Insured’s legal liability to indemnify third parties when driving a private vehicle (saloon) which does not belong to him / her, his / her employer and partner or has not been rented by the people previously mentioned
- Legal liability of the passengers to indemnify third parties
- Use of the motor vehicle that extends beyond the scope of the legal definition of the term 'road'
- Cover for the breakage of the windshield or other windows, maintaining the insurance fee at the same level after the requirement and non-application of the exemption
- Personal accident coverage for the Insured and his / her spouse that have to do with the use of the motor vehicle
- Loss of use or temporary replacement of the motor vehicle following loss of or damages to the motor vehicle
- Loss of or damage to personal belongings caused by fire or theft
- Loss of or damage to motor vehicle caused by flood, storm, hail or earthquake
- Loss of or damage to motor vehicle caused by riot and strike

Additional Coverage
Additional Coverage includes:
- Medical coverage of the insured and the authorised drivers of the insured vehicle, following a motor accident
- Liability to indemnify damages caused whilst the motor vehicle was being towed
- Loss of or damage to the motor vehicle while it was being towed
- No claims discount protection

COVER EXCEPTIONS

The Insurance Policy is subject to certain exclusions, some of which are:

war, acts of terrorism, nuclear radiation and environmental pollution, any premeditated act which amounts to a crime according to the Criminal Law
property belonging to or held in the custody or control of the Insured or any person claiming to be indemnified
loss of or damage to permanently mounted entertainment equipment, communication systems or navigation equipment
natural damage to the vehicle, loss of value due to ageing, mechanical or electrical failure, tire damage
driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
